Thanks to fantastic support from many wonderful suppporters, including funding bodies and individuals, the exciting "Freedom on Wheels" project is now complete!
The Cornwall Disabled Association are now proud owners of a 39 seater DDA compliant coach which has been specially adapted for easy access.
Our new coach will be able reach destinations and pick-up points which are inaccessible to large coaches. The greater scope of our smaller coach, will enable more people, as small groups, to enjoy a versatile and varied pro
gramme of trips and events in COMFORT!
Our coach is fitted with armrests, wheelchair restraints and a fully powered lift for anyone who is adverse to steps!
Our project will benefit over 4000 people from all over Cornwall!
In particular we would like to express our sincere thanks to HRH Princess Alexandra who launched our fundraising bid and has been supportive of our cause!
